For Britain’s best selling panel van, 2006 was the year when the current generation of Transits stepped up to the mark, this was the year when the Euro 4 model replaced the old 2.0-litre Dura torques in favour of the three 2.2-lire models which are rated at 85, 110 and 130hp common rail turbo charged engines. These models are light years ahead of the old engines in terms of refinement and delivery of torque; these are driven by a five-speed manual gearbox.

If you decided to go for the rear-wheel drive models you get one of three 2.4-litre Duratorqs under the bonnet, with a choice of 100, 115 and 140hp versions available with the two highest powered benefiting from a six-speed gearbox.
