Tesco van insurance
Tescocompare.com has recently launched a new service for comparing van insurance broker’s prices. They claim to have over 300 van insurance deals from the 17 specialist brokers on their books. By entering your details just once you can obtain a selection of the best van insurance deals they have to offer. We tried a comparison of GoCompare.com, Tescocompare.com and Comparethemarket.com to find out how simple the quote forms were to use and what the results would be. All three sites were extremely simple to use and took less than 5 minutes to input our details, Tescocompare was the quickest to complete and Gocompare the most thorough.
Insurance Brokers used by Tesco were: Express insurance, Kwik Fit, Gladiator, Quoteline Direct, Performance Direct, Constructaquote.com, the AA.com, directchoice, autonet, Onequote, Vanquote Direct, aQuote and OnlyInsurance
Insurance Brokers used by GoCompare were: Express insurance, Kwik Fit, Dial Direct, Performance Direct, Constructaquote.com, autonet, Gladiator, aQuote, Auto Direct, OnlyInsurance, Quoteline Direct, Vanquote Direct, More Than, Onequote direct, the AA, Quotea.co.uk, Quinn direct, Budget, Endsleigh, evan and Yes.
Insurance Brokers/Insurers used by ComparetheMarket were: Budget, MMA, Dial Direct, Yes, Equity Redstar, Post Office, Highway Insurance, AXA, Zenith, Royal and Sunalliance, provident, NIG, Norwich Union, Premier, Groupma and Allianz.
For the van details we entered Tesco came back with 4 quotes that were cheaper than the other 2 sites. Although this will differ from van make to model as to which company will offer the best deals, what was interesting is that the same details entered on 2 different sites gave different prices for the same insurance broker. Prices ranged from £440 up to £1848 all with the same degree of cover and excess, what isn’t clear is what extras you get bundled in for the bargain price of £1848.
Of the comparison quotes provided, Go Compare has the nicest layout and the simplest to understand followed by Tesco. Compare the Market really didn’t give much information at all apart from the standard price you pay or monthly instalment plans. Having said this Compare the market did have a handy quick update tool for changing the level of voluntary excess and cover types. Tesco on the other hand allowed you to toggle between comprehensive, third party fire and theft and third party only policy prices.
If you are looking to renew your van insurance premium then it’s certainly worth spending half hour and getting quotes form a selection of the main comparison sites. You might be surprised how much half hour of your time may actually be worth.

Tesco compare for car insurance is also pretty good we got out last quote from them and saved about £40 off our renewal price.
