It’s situated between the Berlingo and Relay in terms of size and is being offered in a multitude of load combinations including short wheel base (L1), Long wheel base (L2), standard roof height (H1) and high roof (H2). The Dispatch comes with a three year/100,000 mile warranty and unlimited millage for the first 2 years. The vans fuel consumption has also been improved along with longer service intervals, increasing from10,000 miles to 20,000 miles. Drivers have a choice of 3 economical turbo diesel engines a 1.6HDi 90hp, 2.0HDi 120hp and 2.0HDi 136hp to choose from. All 3 engines have manual gearboxes that are dash-mounted, with both 2.0-litre engines have a 6 speed gearbox and the 1.6-litre model having a 5 speed gearbox. A Trafficmaster's Smartnav satellite navigation package which includes Trackstar, a GPS vehicle tracking service for recovering stolen vehicles, is included as standard. Along with central locking with deadlocks, ABS with Emergency Brake Assist, front electric windows, driver’s airbag, dual passenger seat, radio/CD player, height adjustable driver’s seat and adjustable steering column. There are also a range of optional extras available to improve both comfort and safety which include a 5-CD multi-changer upgrade, Bluetooth software, cruise control, ESP with Traction control (Electronic Stability Programme) and additional air bags. Load space has also been improved with a longer interior length and the ability to take bigger payloads than the previous version with a choice of both 1,000kg and 1,200kg payloads. The Dispatch is available in 5m3, 6m3 and 7m3 cargo load volumes which is a significant increase from the older model.
