Iveco Daily Van

Iveco daily Van

The Iveco Daily first released in 1978 is now in its fourth generation and seen by many as one of the strongest, toughest workhorses in the European light commercial vehicle market. The latest offering has a vastly improved cab interior with all the latest technology; modern exterior styling and a range of euro 4 diesel engines.

The Daily range are all rear wheel drive and come with a choice of 2 engine sizes, the first a 2.3 litre HPI (High Performance Injection) engine which is available in 3 power outputs 96bhp, 116bhp and 136bhp and comes with a five speed gearbox. The second option is a 3.0 litre HPT (High Performance Turbo) engine which comes in 2 power outputs 146bhp and 176bhp, both of which come with six speed gearboxes.

Each van comes with a 3 year or 100,000 mile warranty, whichever comes first and servicing is every 25,000 miles for the 3.0 litre engine models and 18,000 miles for the 2.8 litre.

Iveco have given their Daily customers plenty of options to choose from, three wheelbase lengths ranging from 3,000mm to 3,950mm, internal lengths from 2,600mm to 4,560mm, there are 3 available heights ranging from 1,545mm up to 2,100mm and eight internal load capacities that start at 7.3m3 and go up to an impressive 17.2m3. In the UK the Daily is available in Gross vehicle weights ranging from 3.2 to 6.5 tonne.

Access to the load space is via a siding side door or a set of twin doors that fold back to 270 degrees and can easily be unlatched allowing them to be folded back to the van body for loading in tight areas. The inside of the load space offers a 17m3 cavern with a load space of close to 15 feet, so space shouldn’t be an issue. The van comes with a factory fitted full steel bulkhead to protect passengers and cab from moving loads whilst in transit.

The cab floor is protected by a heavy duty rubberised coating which is handy for keeping it keep clean. It has a massive truck style wraparound dashboard that is solid and offers a good view of the instruments. The gear stick is also dash mounted which allows good for getting across the cab. Passengers have a bench seat that has good legroom space for the window seat passenger, but limited legroom for the inner seat due to the dashboard design. The driver’s seat is fully supportive for long journeys and is adjustable in 6 directions for providing good comfortable support for long journeys.

There is ample storage space for odds and ends with plenty of deep pockets and a large glove compartment that’s big enough for A4 documents. There is a CD/stereo that comes as standard an electric adjustable rear view mirrors and a map light. All other features are optional extras including air conditioning, sat-nav, rear parking sensors, rear camera and ESP.
